I have a Yorkshire Terrier that i have given hair cuts to before, but i dont have time anymore to give him hair cuts myself anymore. I work from 9-5 then have to come home and study. So does anyone have some good places? I live in Vancouver, WA
Where are some good places,To take your dog for grooming?
It's hard to know what each independant groomer is like until you call them, visit their location etc.
Yellow pages, call, then ask if you can meet them and see thier location/shop. I would say if they are willing to have you by before you drop off for an appt. you'd be able to judge for yourself. If it's realitively quiet, don't have 10 dogs going at once, clean, smells ok, person grooming is easy to get along with, understands your pets needs..then you're set to try them. If you wouldn't leave your child there..you wouldn't leave your pet there.

I just had a mutt Lab, but I used to take mine to Petsmart. They're really quite good, and they don't charge an arm and a lung!

It's good to chose people who has business right in there own home. They are generally more compassionate with your animal.
Places like pet shops and groom shops in the middle of city like in a mall are generally chock full of fleas.
