Manic Panic for dogs?

Has anyone tried manic panic on their dog's hair? I've heard it works well and doesn't hurt the dog.

Manic Panic for dogs?

No I haven't. I used Kool-aid and food coloring for the 4th of July. It worked well, but I would never do it again. No particular reason - just didn't look as "cute" as I thought she would.

People are breeding designer breeds because they are treating them as accessories! Just because people are doing it doesnt make it right. Report It

Don't use human product on dogs...

Don't do it. Doesn't matter if it hurts them or not. Just don't.

i havent tried it, but there are pictures of dogs that have been dyed with it on the website. I personally think its kinda mean though. But its up to you if you want to do it.

Leave the chemicals off your dog. I have used Kool-Aid (without the sugar!!!). But for the best bright pink color, here's the cheapest way of all: go get a cheap can of beets, eat or toss the beets and color your dog outside with the juice. Don't get it in their eyes or near the rear. Let it dry, but beware it can come off if your dog licks itself.

Why in the world would you do that to your dog? Animals are pets not accessories.

Is that toxic in any way if a dog would lick it? Considering people don't lick their hair.. it could be harmful.

If you want to color a dog, you can use cake coloring which works on white dogs. It is non-toxic. People used to dye white dogs all the time, mostly poodles with white or light coats. I don't see the big deal for or against color though I wouldn't personally use it on my dogs and I wouldn't use anything that had any chance of being toxic to dogs. Neither would I use even non-toxic color on any dog with any kind of skin condition or sensitive skin.

  1. A lot of people are being hateful towards manic panic. While I do not recommend dying dogs fur constantly, it can be once in a bluemoon type of thing. Manic panic is one of the safest options out there will being all vegetable based ingredients and semi-permanent, so it will wash out. This is a non-toxic dye and many grooming salons use it as an option for their customers dogs. I use it rarely for my dog and it comes out after a few washes and she doesn't have any bad reaction to it. Just test try it with a patch of fur first to check for any adverse reactions. People need to stop being so aggressive and hateful. I understand the concern but do your research before being aggressive with others.

  2. I love it. I use it for my service dog incase she ever gets lost or stolen. Its one of the best ways to indicate a dog "oh yeah she's the German shepherd with a green tail". Not to mention its vegan and non toxic so if you're dog does accidentally lick it its not a big deal.
