My girlfriend and I have been going out for about two years, and during that period of time, we鈥檝e been comfortable with each other. We鈥檝e been planning to move in with each other for roughly 2months now, and move-in day was just the other week. So we鈥檙e now currently living at my apartment, or should I say, 鈥極ur apartment鈥?

After living with her for a week, it鈥檚 been absolutely mad! Comfortable flew out the door while Un-Tamed Girlfriend crashed landed on my doorstep. Don鈥檛 get me wrong, she鈥檚 beautiful, the way she sleeps in bed, how her body moves while the sun ever so slightly shines down with her soft smile just that, a soft smile.

But I can鈥檛 take it anymore. She鈥檚 driving me crazy, I鈥檓 starting to lose hair, My dog has ran away and the toilet seat is always left UP!

She honestly wants to cook for me, but to be honest, her cooking is shocking! Her mother even told me that I鈥檒l have to cook once we鈥檙e living together but that won鈥檛 be happening for a while because of her

when living with someone you must compromise and be honest. let her know you like living in a clean home. you are living together so you must know each other pretty well, let her know about the things that bother you and ask her what bothers her. hopefully you can both come to some kind of agreement that will make living together more pleasurable.

Guess what? This sort of thing happens when you play house. With the girl comes her personality, habits and cooking. If you don't like it...tough. Break up. Nothing is perfect. You have to learn to make some adjustments. The apartment won't be the way you want it anymore because its not just you. You need to just be up front with her and tell her you guys need to figure something out.

About her cooking, honesty is the best way. You could always write down recipes of your favorites and give them to her so she has something to follow.

Sorry, I agree with chaoss13 on this one! Just go to counseling or something, tell her it's bothering you, make compromises. I really don't think you should be willing to kill yourself over this though, that's pretty stupid. You never know someone until you live with them, so if you don't think you can live with this girl for the rest of your life maybe you should break up, although I think this is a pretty petty reason to break up over. And why would you expect her to do any work such as cleaning on your "lazy Sundays"? That seems pretty unreasonable.

If it's going to be this bad, then don't live together- keep your own places- what's wrong with that? You can each have your own independance and space. It's been fine for 2 years, so why spoil it? You must have had a pretty good idea of what she's like before she moved in- you've known her for long enough. Try to be open-minded about living arrangements, in any case, if she knows she might have to start paying rent again she might make more of an effort. But if you love her don't end it over something silly like this- theres more to a person than how tidy they are. And it's really hard for an untidy person to get tidy - she just doesn't see the mess like you do because for her it's not a problem.
