she is on advantage for fleas. my vet has put her on benadryl, but is still itching . Sometimes she licks and bites her hair so much she sometimes throws up . what can I do

It sounds like dry skin. my dog was doing that so I put cooking oil or olive oil on her food once per week. She doesn't scratch anymore unless I miss a week. It makes her coat shiny too.
