Recommend a good vacuum cleaner?

i really need some help her... i have mainly laminate flooring throughout my house. i do have 1X1 ceramic tiles in my entry way (12'X12') and have carpet in my bedrooms.

I have 2 dogs that do shed a different times of the year and as you can imagine i have dog hair ALL THE TIME....

I really need a good all propuse vacuum cleaner for my laminate, ceramics and carpet.... oh yeah, also for the area rugs I have in my living room...

I don't think people are reading your question. All those machines are good for carpet only. Your question screams canister vacuum. They are made for multi-surfaces. There are a lot of different brands that make canisters, but you will probably have to go to an independent dealer to get a good one. Miele is a German manufactured machine, and the best built on the market, hands down. It is also the only one that has a hepa rating on the machine itself, instead of just the filter. The company is very particular about who they authorize to distribute there products, so you'll know you're dealing with a reputable vac store. Their website has a dealer locator. www.miele.com

I have to agree on the Miele. I own one and love it, the cleaning power is amazing! Report It

Eureka - The Boss - is a great inexpensive vac. It's about $150 at Sam's Club or Walmart. It received top ratings from Consumer Reports. It even has a HEPA filter. Replacement bags/belts/filters can be ordered at the Eureka website. Also the website has a sale every year in January for 15% off, so I stock up then.

I bought one 4 months ago to replace the older model of the same one that I bought 8 years ago. The 8 year old one still works but the wheels are so worn that I didn't want it on my hardwood floors anymore. I now have in the closet of my screened in porch to clean up out there.

kirby g5...they are expensive but worth the $$...I have had mine for 10+ years and it works like new as long as you maintain it.

I would suggest a Rainbow Vac. We bought one in the early 90's and we were amazed with how well it worked then, so we bought another updated one a couple years ago and we've never had any trouble with them. They use water instead of bags, so you empty the water tank when you're finished and fill it up with fresh water for the next use... it keeps the dust and pet hair from floating around the room. You can also add a couple drops of fragrance in the water and it makes the room smell nice. We used ours as an air purifier before, we put Eucalyptus scent in it and it helped with having congestion or stuffy noses. There really a lot of + features with this. A couple cons is it takes a little bit to set it up, you have to add the water and put a couple of things together and it's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. Hope this helped!

I clean houses for a living and I bought a dyson. Hands down the best vacuum out there. I got the dyson animal, it has a knob that you turn for bare floor cleaning and rugs. It has a pull out hose for those hard to reach places. No bags to mess with. I have a inside dog also and it sucks up dog hair like a dream. Had mine for almost 3 years and still works like the first day I bought it. Bought mine from sears.
