I'm having arguements with my mother and she thinks her cigarette smoke is not what is causing me to breathe bad, I've been allergy tested and I'm allergic to, dog hair, cat hair, rag weed, and dust, we have dogs which im pretty sure thats a problem, but thats controllable with an allergy shot that i will soon be getting, but cigarette smoke is really my main concern i start getting that mucas feeling when im around it like my air ways tighten up...

Cigarette smoke is absolutely going to cause your astham to flare up.

Smoke is not an allergen but an irritant. She probably thinks because you didn't test positive to it, you're fine and she's not bothering you.

Constant irritation from the smoke can leave you immune system more vulnerable and you might find that you're suffering from your allergies more often.

Perhaps your best bet would be to take her to the doctor with you and have the doc explain how negatively she's impacting your health. She should know better anyway. It's not like anyone can tolerate smoke, even smokers. There's a reason smokers are always hacking and coughing.

Tell her it can kill you. I have severe reactions to smoke. I have asthma. If you have a severe attack and can't get immediate attention then you could die from as asthma attack. I don't know how old you are but if you are out of the house you need to stay away until she gets serious about it. If you live at home still you need to get your doctor to talk to your mother about the seriousness of smoke on asthmatics. Good Luck
