How can I get my dog to stop barking and growling?

She is a ~4 month old puppy and when she gets hyped up, she growls and barks at ME for attention. I don't know if I made her angry, but she was chewing on something she shouldn't have been and I said NO, took the item, and walked away for a couple minutes.

This is when she growns and barks. Even if I get near her, but I'm still not playing with her, she'll bark. If I start to play with her, she will NOT bite me, but she WILL start nipping my hair and my jacket sleeves. I say NO and get up, and the barking %26amp; growling starts over again.

How can I fix this behavior??

She obviously needs to be tired out. Try walking her, taking her outside to play fetch....but don't let her get away with this barking and growling behavior as it will create a monster for you. Basically spend a specific amount of time with her and tire her butt out..........
