Ok I have a 55 square metre backyard. I can give it a maximum of a 20 minute walk a day

It has to be outside during the day but it can sleep inside

and it cant be a heavy malter or have long hair which is hard to groom

I can groom it once a week

Why do you want a dog if it has to stay outside all day? A 20 minute walk once a day is ok for a dog, but why get a dog if you have no time to play with it. I love animals and I have a dog. I walk my dog once a day for about 20 to 45 minutes, but my dog loves to play and be around people. You need to find some kind of animal that doesn't need to be around people, but I don't know any. I too would have to say that getting a dog would really not be in the best interest of the dog. If you have such tight limitations on how you can spend your time with the dog, it's probably better just to play with a friends.
