I can't find away to get dog hair outta my carpet. It won't vaccum up. Anybody have some suggestions?

-regular hair brush or comb followed by a hand vac
-lint roller
-rent a steam cleaner

a dog cleaner thing. its like a stick with tape on it. but you roll it on the rug or anything else (clothes, furniture,blankets,etc)
