Is Microsuede a good choice with animals?

I have 2 Great Danes in the house and of course, they are couch potatoes and I am looking to buy a new couch-for the dogs. I have heard microsuede is very good, but wondering if this is so? How well does the dog hair clean off this type material?

I honestly was t-totally against microsuede when I purchased my couch simply becuase I could visualize my dogs nails puncturing and ripping the upholstery. To my amazement microsuede seems to be bullet proof-lol. I have 2 rambunctious Boxers who bounce off the furniture-no holes yet! It also cleans up with simple baby wipes. I have a Dyson vac that sucks dog hair out of upholstery easily.

I had the stainguard application put on it. Fur isn't easy to get off of any material, really, but I just take a lint brush or the vacuum, and it seems to work pretty well for the cat hair.

We bought a microsuede couch about 3 years ago. I loved the couch. Our chihuahuas lick it constantly and leave spots all over it that look like pee stains. There is no way to clean them and get the stains off. When you clean it you just get bigger stains. I would never buy another microsuede couch. NEVER! No problem with dog hair.

I have a couch and two dogs............I did have the protector stuff applied when I bought the couch. I actually scrub it with Scrubbing Bubbles and a small scrub brush. It cleans up better than any other material. My dogs don't shed so I don't know how it is with fur.

As long as you have it scotch guard (or whatever they call it) you will be fine.
